Fun Facts

On the Hill, St. Louis' Italian neighborhood, the 5400 block of Elizabeth Avenue is the only street in America where three baseball Hall of Famers resided. The legendary Lawrence "Yogi" Berra and Broadcasters Joe Garagiola and Jack Buck all lived on "Hall of Fame Place."

Forest Park hosted the 1904 World's Fair and there were four foods popularized at this Fair – the hot dog, hamburger, iced tea and the ice cream cone.

Gold, silver and bronze medals were first awarded to Olympic champions during the St. Louis Games in 1904.

St. Louis has more free attractions than any city outside of Washington, DC, including the Saint Louis Zoo, the St. Louis Science Center and The Missouri History Museum.
