Angie Weigel, DMCP, Vice President
Angie directs the Operations Department. This involves planning and overseeing the implementation of all events at Destination St. Louis. Her attention to detail is legendary (at least within the DSL office). She has organized shuttles from 500-19,000, operated detailed airport meet and greets, and VIP transfers. If there is a vehicle involved, Angie is involved. Angie is also a leader of the creative team that has produced a World’s Fair Carnival at the TWA Dome for 3,000, a party at the Zoo for 2,000 and a Blues party at the Adam's Mark for 2,000, to name just a few. Previously, Angie worked for Gateway Riverboat Cruises for 10 years where she experienced nearly every aspect of the business, including sales, catering, event planning, and crises management (during the floods). Angie earned her DMCP (Destination Management Certified Professional) designation in 2004.
Angie joined DSL in 1999 and over the years has been involved at the committee level with Meeting Professionals International St. Louis Chapter, St. Louis Attractions Association and ISES (International Special Events Society). Most recently, Angie served as a Committee Chair for the tours affiliated with the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial event.
Angie is a St. Louis native. She and her husband live in Sunset Hills and have two boys.
